Day 1 :Casablanca – Chefchaouen
Start your Casablanca Private Tours by a pick up at the airport of Casablamca and drive to the political capital of Morocco Rabat is located on the Atlantic coastline at the mouth of the river Bou Regreg, opposite the twin city of Sale. The first stop will be at the Kasbah Oudayas. Next on the agenda is the fascinating site of the Hassan Tower dating back to 1185. The minaret rises up to 44 meters, and was believed that it would reach 88 meters. However in 1755 it was largely destroyed by an earthquake. Opposite the Hassan Tower is the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, a monument of modern Morocco . Then you will begin your drive to the city of Ouezzane : Ouezzane is considered by many Jews of Morocco as a holy and undertake pilgrimage to worship the tomb of the Marabouts (Moroccan saints). They particularly visit it to worship the marabout moul Anrha (which is the local name for Rabbi Imran Ben Diwan) who lived in the city in the 18th century Chefchaouen (The blue City), passing through Rabat, the Capitol City of Morocco. The day’s journey will end in the beautiful city of Chefchaouen. Rest of the evening in your Riad or Hotel.
Day 2 :Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast we leave Chefchaouen behind and head towards Fez city. On this Casablanca Private Tours, you will cross the Rif Mountains and into the Middle Atlas Mountains, making stops to visit the ruins of the Roams in Volubilis, then onto Meknes for lunch. Once we arrive in the city of Meknes we will explore all its fascinating sites. Following the tour of Meknes you will continue your journey to Fez. Rest in your Riad or Hotel for the evening.
Day 3 :Exploring Fes
Today we explore the ancient city of Fez, the largest and oldest medieval city in the world. A local licensed historical guide will accompany you as you discover each of the two old Medinas, the largest which is Fes El Bali. In 1981 it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fes El Jedid, the old city, which was built by Merinids. The former has so many fascinating historical sites such as: Al Qarawiyin, which dates back to 859 AD, and is the oldest continuous functioning madrasa (Old School) in the world. The Ancient Tanneries where you can witness the tanners incredible labor of making Babouches (Moroccan Slippers) as well as wallets, handbags and a host of leather goods. You will have the opportunity to stroll throughout the Souks (Old Markets) in the Old city of Fez.
Day 4 :Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – ziz valley – Erfoud
Today’s adventure will start with an adventurous drive to Merzouga. first we will pass through the city of Ifrane, which is considered the coldest place in Morocco. Ifrane is also known as the Switzerland of Morocco because of the housing architecture and snowfall. Continue your Casablanca Private Tours, through the Middle Atlas Mountains to the Cedar forest in the city of Azrou, which is 3940 feet in elevation. Here you will have the opportunity to feed the endangered Barbary (Macaque) Monkeys. From here you will drive to the city of Midelt, where you will have your lunch .
After lunch, your journey will continue through the picturesque Middle Atlas Mountains, to the Ziz Valley palm groves. The groves are located within the small Atlas Mountains.Than continue to the city of Erfoud which is known with its huge oasis of Palm Trees ,Every year ,The festival of Dattes is celebrated in Erfoud over three days in early October. This city has also become the perfect location for filmmakers simply for its beauty and location. You stop here for the evening in your hotel.
Day 5 :Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga (Berber Camp)
Following breakfast, you will drive through the ever-changing Atlas Mountains, it’s as perfect time to have your camera ready. This drive will take you to the traditional Souk (Market) of Rissani, where the local people shop 3 times a week. From Rissani you will venture to the village of Khamlia where you will experience the sound and dance of African Gnawa Music. After working up an appetite you will enjoy an authentic Berber pizza in the village. Following your lunch we drive to your hotel in Merzouga where you will meet your next mode of transportation, camel. You will ride your camel for approximately an hour and a half, to the tent in the Berber Camp situated in the dunes. Here you will experience the life of a nomad, eat the food and enjoy the sound of Berber music. The tents are equipped with comfortable beds, blankets and pillows.
Day 6 :Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Tinghir – Boumaln Dades
Early this morning your journey will begin with a breathtaking sunrise in the desert as you mount your camel and head back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast you will explore many fortresses, valley of Palmeies and gorges. You will visit the wells that were used as irrigation in the 17th century, and a breathtaking view of the Toda Gorges. From here you will head to the highest oasis in Morocco, with mountains as high as 300m (1000 feet). You will travel through the city of Tinghir while making your way to Boumaln Dades where you will relax for the evening in your hotel.
Day 7 :Bomaln Dades – Boutaghrar – Kelaat Mgouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast in the hotel , you will drive through fascinating Dades Gorge where you will enjoy seeing the amazing Rock formation called “the monkey Toes. Our journey continues to Boutaghrar area where you can meet berber families still living in caves with their goats and sheep and you will have an opportunity to hike for 1 to 2 hours in the mountains of the high atlas. Lunch will take place at a restaurant in Kelaat Mgouna , we will drive through the Valley of Roses. A rose festival is held here every May each year, when the roses are harvested. Since this is the road of the thousands Kasbahs you’ll have plenty of opportunities to take some beautiful pictures Then we continue our Casablanca Private Tours, to Skoura visit the beautiful and well preserved Kasbah of Ameridil. After that you will continue to Ouarzazate city ‘Hollywood of Africa’ which is known with its cinema studios. Overnight in a riad in Ouarzazate
Day 8 :Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouaste – Marrakech
After breakfast in the hotel, we will go to the city of Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco due to the Cinema Studios. Many famous movies where filmed here such as Cleopatra, Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, Kundun & Game of Thrones. From here you will drive to the most famous Kasbah in Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. The fortified village and Kasbah is situated in the hills along the Ounila River. Ait Ben Haddou has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Many films have been produced in the Kasbah including: The Message, The Mummy, Alexander and Babel. After your tour in Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah we will have lunch while viewing the panoramic backdrop. After lunch the journey of Casablanca Private Tours, continues through the High Atlas Mountains where the altitude reaches 2260 M in Tichka Pass. After a long day you will reach Marrakech to put your feet up for the evening.
Day 9 :Day Trip to Ourika and Return to Marrakech
Today’s excursion will take you to Ourika Valley escaping the hustle and bustle of the city of Marrakech. This an ever-changing scenic drive to the Ourika Valley, which is the closest day trip from Marrakech. However it’s not just the convenience that makes it special. So we take a drive through the Atlas Mountains, enjoying in the lovely landscape of green meadows and authentic 16th and 17th century Berber villages. If you take your tour on a Monday, you can stop at a roadside souk. Beautiful fruit orchards, vegetable terraces and villages clinging to the side of hills. Marvel at the spectacular labor undertaken by the Berbers who raised up materials to construct small houses up on the mountain side, in hostile environmental conditions. Continue along the valley of palm trees, following along the Ourika River. Fruit trees, tiny hamlets, riverside restaurants, and the summer homes of the wealthy will keep you entertained.
